Post Operative Massage is a combination of massage techniques to accelerate the healing process of the patient after a surgical procedure. Its main objective is to eliminate surgery inflammation and largely correct irregularities on the skin caused by fibrosis.
Fibrosis is an effect that takes over the vast majority of patients following a surgical procedure. If the patient feels hardening of the skin tissue, balls, or deformations in the area subject to any kind of surgery they will be in the presence of fibrosis and then will require a post-surgical treatment.
The application of Post Operative Massage depends on the patient’s medical condition and will be supplied after prior assessment of our specialists who recommend that this treatment starts within 3-5 days after the surgery.
Our recommendation is at least 5 sessions of Post Operative massage per patient, and between 10-12 sessions is the ideal number of therapies that each patient should receive.
*Our treatment of 60 minutes is recommended for one body part surgery. We recommend more than one session for multiple surgery procedures.
*Ultrasound cavitation can be done from the beginning and radio frequency can be add on after 6 weeks
Post Operation lymphatic drainage massage accelerates postoperative recovery. The swelling and bruising disappears faster if you get your sessions of manual lymphatic drainage between two or three days after your surgery. The risk of developing fibrosis decreases considerably when you receive postoperative lymphatic drainage massage. Remember that manual lymphatic drainage massage is nothing casual and should be administered by a certified massage therapist in manual lymphatic drainage and postoperative body treatments.
* May be allowed for Manual Lymphatic Massage Only

It is recommended to have 2-5 sessions per week beginning 24-48 hours following surgery. MLD is also beneficial before surgery. 2-5 treatments are recommended with the last session 24-48 hours prior to surgery. Treatments will prepare your body by clearing fluid accumulation, detoxification, and removal of cellular debris. This will reduce the chances for infection by cleansing the tissues at the site of the future incisions. MLD also accelerates the production of lymphocytes which are small white blood cells that play a large role in fighting disease in our bodies.
