FAQ's

What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup, or Medical Micropigmentation, is a cosmetic procedure done by implanting ink into the skin to mimic the look of daily cosmetics. While this is different from traditional body tattooing it is still considered a tattoo.

How long does permanent makeup last?

Permanent makeup generally lasts 1-3 years depending on factors such as sun exposure, medications, skin type, etc. I recommend yearly color boost sessions to keep your tattoo looking fresh.

Do you offer consultations? How do I know what style of PMU is best for me?

Yes, I always offer free consultations! A consultation is the perfect way to figure out your permanent makeup goals but is not required. Before every appointment I will consult with you to best determine what technique will give you your desired results. We will take into account your skin tone and type, lifestyle, medical history, and more. You may bring a lipstick or brow color you want to mimic or show reference photos.

What does the healing process look like?

The healing process is generally quite simple. In the first 1-3 days after your appointment the area may look dark and sharp. This is completely normal and to be expected! Around day 3 you may begin to experience some flaking similar to dry skin. This is also normal and it is crucial not to pick at the area. Around day 7 the area will look almost completely healed and softened. Trust the process!

What do I use for aftercare?

I will provide all of the aftercare you need! Your kit will include a healing ointment, cleansing soap, aftercare instructions, and referral business cards.

Do you offer gift cards?

If you would like to purchase a gift card for you or a loved one please contact me at 405-655-8539, rspermanentmakeup@gmail.com, or via Facebook messenger.
