How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please bring inspiration photos and know what you like about each photo. We highly recommend to find photos of people similar to your own features and colors.

Come with your normal skin care routine on your face (Cleanse, exfoliate, serums, moisturizer). This way we can see how the makeup lays on your face in order to suggest any tweaks in your skin care regime for your makeup to lay as smooth as possible when the time comes.

Please wear something similar to the neckline you will be wearing, strapless, spaghetti strap, or zip up so we can apply makeup easily to those areas. Also make sure to wear neutral colors in order to focus on the makeup in photos. We advise to not wear any large earrings, no necklaces, or any jewelry that you do not want makeup on.

Should I book a trial before a special occasion?

Yes and no. If you have the time and are in no rush, then absolutely. Both of us want to see how the makeup appears in photos (professional and phones) in order to make any tweaks if necessary.

It is best to have your trial before an engagement shoot, or another photoshoot, with the photographer you are planning on booking with as well. Photographers have a variety of editing styles, and while some are very beautiful, they can wash color out of the skin very easily. Therefore, we need to add more pigment, for dimension to appear in photos.

If you are booking a trial before your bridal shower, for example, we would advise against this. Most bridal showers are early and we cannot take the leisure time we need to consult. A Signature Soft Glam booking would be best for this occasion.

What will be discussed during a trial?

Along side what you normally are used to for everyday makeup, your inspo pictures, and skin care regime, we will be discussing wedding details.

It is best to know as much information as possible for your wedding so we can consult accordingly, such as: ceremony time, getting ready location, amount of persons whom need makeup services that day. This way we can start planning a timeline for getting ready.

Can I do more than one look at the trial?

No, this is not feasible. Taking off the makeup that was just applied, would be time consuming and also leave the skin prepped improperly. In addition, this would double the time we have available for trial bookings which we are unable to accommodate. We can only tweak certain areas of the look.

Can I book more than one trial?

Absolutely. If you don't feel the look was right for you, we can always do another look to see if you feel more confident in the second one. Some brides want to try something new for their wedding day, some are indecisive and want to see how other options look, or their inspo didn't come out how they imagined. Sometimes a second trial is needed/wanted (although rare!).

If I book a trial, am I committed to booking with you for my wedding?

Nope! We understand that some client relationships are not the best fit and that is ok! Other clients may want to try out multiple MUA's before committing. That is why trials are separate from bridal bookings to ease anxiety of clients.
