The “Bodyworx” more efficiently when our movements, breath and psyche are aligned.
The human body is complex. It isn’t merely a collection of physical parts that function like a machine. It is an intelligent, dynamic energy system. It is an adaptive self-repairing network.
Our experiences, activities, thoughts and emotions are all processed and stored in our bodies. Improving our inner state translates to healing our physical self. We can shift our health in powerful ways once balance of the mind-body connection is restored.
Our society tends to live in our heads. With modern technology our brains are constantly being loaded with input at an accelerated rate. Our minds are continuously racing and the mental chatter is deafening.
Returning to the breath, returning to the body, keeps us in the present moment and quiets the chatter.
Massage therapy goes beyond smoothing out knotted tissue. Therapeutic touch provides sensory input to the brain which produces improved motor output to our bodies. Better mind-body connection. Better function. Better quality of life.
Bodyworx honors and respects the complexity of the human body. It is acknowledged as an entire network.
We treat the body as a whole functioning system from the ground up. Every individual that walks through the door is unique and deserves customized services. Pain, injuries and recovery is not a one size fits all.
So many health care providers treat with blinders on. They isolate treatment to one joint or segment instead of expanding their lens and exploring up and down the kinetic chain. Most of the time the symptom is a result of dysfunction somewhere else in the body.
Bodyworx philosophy is starting from the ground up. Foot health is overlooked and underrated. Our mission is to bring more awareness to foot function in order to improve alignment, posture and biomechanics.
Our foot is our foundation. It is our first point of contact with the ground that supports us. It is how we interpret the world. Without a strong foundation, our structure isn’t sound.
Healing isn’t linear. The process has peaks and valleys due to internal fluctuations and external factors.
“Quick fixes” are temporary, non-sustainable and aren’t addressing the root cause.
