Laser Tattoo Removal FAQs

How does laser tattoo removal work?

Laser tattoo removal uses advanced laser technology to break down tattoo ink particles within the skin. These particles are then naturally eliminated by the body's immune system over time.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on the tattoo's size, colour, age, depth, and location. Most tattoos require multiple treatments to achieve the desired result.

Is laser tattoo removal painful?

Most clients describe the sensation as similar to an elastic band snapping against the skin. Discomfort is generally short-lived and manageable.

How long should I wait between treatments?

Treatments are typically spaced 6–8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and the body sufficient time to remove fragmented ink particles.

Will my tattoo be completely removed?

Many tattoos can be significantly faded or fully removed; however, results vary depending on the type of ink used, tattoo age, and individual skin characteristics.

Is there any downtime after treatment?

You may experience redness, swelling, tenderness, or blistering immediately after treatment. These effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few days. Full aftercare advice will be provided.

Can all tattoo colours be removed?

Some colours respond more readily to laser treatment than others. Black and dark inks tend to respond best, while certain brighter colours may require additional sessions.

Can I have a consultation before treatment?

Yes. We recommend attending a consultation and patch test prior to treatment. This allows us to assess your tattoo, carry out a patch test for safety, discuss your expectations, and create a personalised treatment plan tailored to you.
