OREGON DOG LICENCING TAG IS NOT PROOF OF VACCINE
We welcome all pets, including those with health conditions. If your pet is on any medication, please let us know so we can monitor any mood changes to give breaks or needs. Please provide us with updated and accurate vet information in case of an emergency.
Have a pet with negative vibes? That's okay! We want to attempt every groom to keep the pet from needing to groom at the vet because we know the vet can be a scary place and we want to make every groom a positive experience, regardless of past experiences.
Please let us know of ALL problems your pet might have with other pets, the grooming process, or anything in-between. We want to make sure every pet leaves happy!
Although it is ideal to not use restrictive tools, we do understand some dogs might need a mussel to complete a groom. If a pet parent feel their dog requires a mussel for training purposes, we ask the pet parent to bring a mussel as we dont have any on site.
We strive to remove matts by brushing with specialized tools to remove the matts without cutting.
We first brush or thin out the matt but in the event a matt is too tight with skin and shaving or cutting is evolved, we blend to the rest of the body to hide any “bold spot” if they occur. In some instances, shaving a matt is necessary for skin health and hair regrowth.
Severe matting can explain mood changes or skin conditions. In extreme circumstances it is medically necessary to do a short body shave to “start over” on new hair growth.
We don’t judge our pet parents. Once we finish a severe matting groom, we will create a prevention plan to keep your pets happy and healthy!
Please be advised that we e provide styling haircuts to our long hair kitties but we WILL NOT do close to skin, full body shaves (e.i. lion cuts) unless it is necessary for your cats health. If hair is too matted and cutting or shaving is evolved, we will attempt to blend to the rest of the body.
