Our Story

Megan Evegan, who previously owned Hair and So On for over six years, felt a calling to transform the salon into Bluffton’s leading hair extension hub. Around the same time, Caitlin Hatch, an IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions) certified specialist, moved from Arizona to Bluffton. Caitlin’s expertise was precisely what Megan needed to take the salon to the next level. Recognizing Caitlin’s passion and talent, Megan also became certified in IBE, strengthening their shared vision. Together, they pursued further education and both earned their master’s degrees through the IBE master’s program.

As co-owners and mothers—Megan with four children and Caitlin with three—their partnership has grown out of mutual respect and shared goals. They knew they wanted to take their business to new heights, and building a custom salon from the ground up was the perfect way to do so. Shoreline Construction was chosen to bring this vision to reality, reflecting Megan and Caitlin’s commitment to a client-centered, cutting-edge salon experience.

The new Hair and So On Company, is designed to cater specifically to the unique needs of hair extension clients. The first floor features four private studios, providing a discreet and personalized environment for clients who value privacy. This thoughtful design creates a comfortable, home-like atmosphere, making each appointment a more exclusive experience.

Upstairs, the salon opens into a spacious, New York-style environment with an energetic and modern feel. This area will be dedicated not only to everyday styling but also to training new stylists, supporting Megan and Caitlin’s passion for mentoring the next generation of beauty professionals. The space will serve as both a thriving salon and a training ground, reflecting their dedication to giving back to the community and fostering new talent.

Megan and Caitlin are deeply committed to advancing the hair industry, and their efforts extend beyond the new salon. They currently offer funding for scholarships for two cosmetologists at a local community college, providing opportunities for aspiring stylists to receive top-notch education and mentorship.
