Hair Care Support

Hair is like the seasons, it's always changing. Water type, heat styling, chemicals, temperature, minerals, diet, medication, and daily wear and tear are just some things that effect hair.

Products are our hairs best defense, But when using the wrong things or lack thereof, we could be creating more harm than good.

Now, some products are great for everyone, and others may need more curating but, we can talk about your hair specifically and find the best regiment during the appointment.

Here are some simple routine products that work best for all.

Washing

Wet hair for a minimum of 1-2 minutes to break up natural oils. If you have gone longer than 3 days or used dry shampoo or hairspray, you need to shampoo 2x.

Use a clarifying shampoo once a week to reset.

After the shower

Before brushing, apply a leave-in conditioner. This will distribute more evenly during brushing. Then apply stylers including a heat protectant.

During Drying

Rough dry hair 80% of the way BEFORE using a brush. Hair is most fragile went wet. Water=weight. Dryers do not need to be on the highest heat to work if using the correct products.

Hot Tools

Always use a aerosol heat protectant prior to applying a hot tool (flat iron/curling iron/waver).

Just because the iron can go to 450 does not mean you should use it. Do not exceed heat of 350 degrees.

Daily Dirt

If your hair gets greasy fast, take these into consideration:

when was the last time you washed your hairbrush?

How long have you been using that scrunchie?

Is your pillowcase clean?
