Light makeup is okay, but I ask that you avoid heavy eye makeup before your appointment. Because of the variety of products and eye sensitivities, I don’t remove eye makeup during facial services. This allows more time to focus on your skin and the overall experience. Think of it as arriving ready to fully relax.
I don’t typically use a facial steamer.
While steam can be helpful in some situations, I prefer a more gentle, supportive approach that prioritizes skin comfort and relaxation. Because many of my treatments include dermaplane, avoiding steam also allows for a safer, more controlled exfoliation.Steam can create excess moisture and slip, which isn’t ideal when working with a scalpel. My goal is always to keep treatments intentional, calm, and supportive for your skin. I believe in working with your skin, not forcing it.
Nope. You're not going to grow a beard, I promise. Dermaplane removes soft, fine vellus hair, which is very different from terminal hair like brows or coarse facial hair. Because these hair types are biologically different, dermaplaning does not cause hair to grow back thicker or darker. When the hair grows back, it returns the same as before. Soft, fine, and natural.
