Pre-Treatment

Botox, Dysport, Etc.


Discontinue the following 3-5 days prior to treatment to decrease your risk of bruising:

  1. Aspirin
  2. Ibprophen (Motrin, Advil, Aleve)
  3. Vitamin E
  4. Ginger
  5. Ginseng
  6. Garlic
  7. Green tea
  8. Alcohol


Bruising is possible with treatment, so plan your treatment and event accordingly. 


If you are prescribed blood thinners, do not discontinue use unless your physician orders you to do so.










 

Neuromodulators

Post-treatment



  1. Swelling, redness and bruising can occur.
  2. Avoid consumption of herbal supplements listed in pre-treatment and non-steroidal anti- inflammatory medications and alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment (Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Etc.)
  3. Do not massage or manipulate the injections sites for 24 hours after treatment.
  4. Be gentle when cleansing your face the evening after treatment.
  5. Avoid laying down for 4 hours after treatment.
  6. Avoid exercise and extreme temperatures (hot and cold) for 24 hours.


**Your Botox will start to take effect within 2-3 days and full results will be seen in 2 weeks. **


**If you have any asymmetry at day 14, please book a follow-up appointment for a touch-up. **

Dermal Fillers

Pre- Treatment

Discontinue the following 3-5 days prior to treatment to decrease your risk of bruising:

Bruising is possible with treatment, so plan your treatment and event accordingly. If you have an important event- 4 weeks is recommended in between event and injection.


If you are prescribed blood thinners, do not discontinue use unless your physician orders you to do so.


If you have a history of cold sores, you may take your prescription as prescribed before or after treatment.


Avoid dental work for at least 2 weeks prior to and after treatment.



Post- Treatment

  1. Swelling, redness, bruising can occur.
  2. Herbal supplements such as Arnica and cold compresses may be used to decrease swelling and bruising.
  3. You may use topical or oral Arnica to increase healing time.
  4. Avoid consumption of herbal supplements listed in pre-treatment and non-steroidal anti- inflammatory medications and alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment (Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Etc.)
  5. Tylenol can help to decrease pain without causing additional bruising. 
  6. Do not massage or manipulate the injections areas unless instructed by your injector.
  7. Be gentle when cleansing your face the evening after treatment.
  8. Avoid make up, exercise, and extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for 24 hours after.
  9. Sleep on your back for 2 weeks after (Chin & cheeks)
