If you are experiencing pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, or other symptoms following your accident, discuss massage therapy with your treating healthcare provider. 

Your provider may recommend or refer you for massage therapy as part of your treatment plan. Insurance carriers may have their own requirements regarding referrals, authorizations, or documentation. 

Once you have your claim information, contact Nivara Massage.

We will collect the information needed to begin the insurance verification process, including your auto insurance carrier, claim number, accident date, adjuster's information, and referring provider information when applicable.

Before beginning treatment, Nivara Massage will verify the information available from your insurance carrier and determine what requirements apply to your claim.

This may include:

1. Whether your PIP claim is active
2. Available medical benefits
3. Whether massage therapy is covered
4. Whether a referral or authorization is required
5. Billing and claim submission requirements
6. Any applicable documentation requirements

Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment. Your insurance carrier makes the final determination regarding coverage and payment. PIP may cover reasonable and necessary medical treatment related to an auto accident, subject to the terms of the policy and the insurance carrier's claim requirements.

Your first appointment will include an intake and evaluation focused on your current symptoms and how the accident has affected you.

Treatment may address areas such as:

1. Muscle tension and soreness
2. Stiffness
3. Soft-tissue discomfort
4. Changes in posture or movement
5. Reduced functional mobility

Because this is treatment related to an accident, your visits are documented as part of your clinical record. Washington requires massage therapists treating a health condition to document symptoms, evaluation findings, outcome measures, and a treatment plan.

When Nivara Massage is able to bill your PIP claim directly, claims and supporting documentation will be submitted according to the insurance carrier's requirements.

Your insurance company will determine the amount it will pay based on your policy, available benefits, claim requirements, and its review of the services.

PIP Treatment at Nivara Massage
