Does it hurt?
No. A topical numbing agent is applied before Micro-needling to prevent pain. Still, the treatment can cause minimal discomfort to areas with deeper imperfections or thinner skin.
Is there downtime?
Technically, no. But, you may opt for "social downtime" for 24-48 hours. Some redness and swelling are normal for about 24 hours afterward, and you should avoid makeup for about 48 hours. A few days after your treatment, your skin may become dry. Some patients return to work, while others prefer to schedule their treatment over the weekend.
When will I see results?
Generally, patients notice tightening and a more even tone to their skin a week or two after their first session. Results can be more subtle for areas with deeper imperfections, and additional treatments are usually required. Since Micro-needling stimulates new collagen and elastin production, these results will continue to build for up to 6 months.
