ClearLift Laser Pre/Post care ClearLift Laser Facial
Pre-Care Instructions:
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.
- Discontinue use of retinoids, glycolic acid, and other exfoliants for 5–7 days before your appointment.
- Stop any chemical peels, waxing, or microneedling at least 7–10 days before treatment.
- Notify your provider if you have any active cold sores, open wounds, or infections in the treatment area.
- Arrive with clean skin. No makeup, lotions, or sunscreen should be on the face.
- Hydrate well the day before and day of your appointment to promote skin healing.
Post-Care Instructions:
- Expect mild redness or a warm sensation for a few hours after treatment—this is normal and usually resolves quickly.
- Do not apply makeup or skincare products for at least 4–6 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure and use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.
- Avoid retinoids, acids, exfoliants, and harsh products for 3–5 days post-treatment.
- Do not use hot water, saunas, or engage in intense exercise for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid picking or scratching the skin, even if minor flaking or dryness occurs.
- Moisturize daily to support healing—your provider may recommend a specific post-laser product.
Laser Tattoo Removal Pre/Post Care Laser Tattoo Removal
Pre-Care Instructions:
- Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds and self-tanners) on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks prior to each session.
- Shave the area 24 hours before your appointment if there is noticeable hair.
- Do not apply creams, lotions, makeup, or deodorant on the area to be treated the day of your appointment.
- Stay hydrated—well-hydrated skin heals better and responds more effectively to laser treatments.
- Discontinue retinoids or chemical exfoliants on or near the treatment area for 3–5 days before treatment.
- Let us know if you have a history of cold sores or shingles in the area to be treated—you may need an antiviral prescription.
- Do not pick or scratch scabs or blisters from previous sessions—let them heal naturally.
Post-Care Instructions:
- Expect redness, swelling, and possible blistering in the treated area—this is normal and typically resolves in 5–10 days.
- Apply a cold compress (not ice) as needed for the first 24 hours to reduce discomfort and swelling.
- Keep the area clean and dry. Gently cleanse with mild soap and water, then pat dry.
- Apply Aquaphor, Vaseline, or a prescribed ointment 1–2 times daily until the area is healed (typically 7–10 days).
- Do not pick, scratch, or pop blisters—this can lead to scarring or infection.
- Avoid direct sun exposure until the area is fully healed. Use SPF 30+ on the area after healing.
- Avoid hot tubs, pools, saunas, and intense workouts for at least 48 hours after treatment or until the area is fully healed.
- Wear loose clothing over the treated area to prevent friction and irritation.
- Watch for signs of infection (increased redness, pus, foul odor). Contact the clinic if any appear.

Pre-Care Instructions:

- Clean the area before your appointment—no lotions, oils, deodorant, makeup, or creams on the skin.

- Notify your provider if you have a history of cold sores or skin conditions in the area.
- Tell us about any recent changes in medications—especially antibiotics, photosensitizing drugs, or isotretinoin.
- Do not schedule treatments over tattoos or over areas with active rashes, infections, or open wounds.
Post-Care Instructions:
- Redness and mild swelling are normal and may last for a few hours to a couple of days.
- Apply a cold compress (not ice) or aloe vera gel to soothe the area as needed.
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and heavy workouts for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
- Do not exfoliate, scrub, or use harsh products on the area for at least 5 days.
- No waxing, plucking, or threading—only shaving between sessions.

Pre-Care Instructions:
- Wash your hair thoroughly the night before or the morning of your appointment.
- Use a gentle shampoo. Do not use conditioner, leave-in products, dry shampoo, or styling products.
- Arrive with clean, dry hair.
- Hair must be free of oils, sprays, or serums for the treatment to be effective.
- Avoid alcohol-based hair products or harsh chemical treatments (coloring, perming, relaxing) for at least 72 hours before your appointment.
- Stay hydrated.
- Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of treatment to support scalp and follicle health.
- Do not schedule treatment if you have active scalp infections, open sores, or recent sunburn on the treatment area.
- Inform your provider of any recent changes in medications or if you’re pregnant or nursing.
Post-Care Instructions:
- Do not wash your hair or scalp for at least 24 hours after treatment.
- Avoid applying any hair products (shampoo, conditioner, oils, styling products) for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid sweating, intense exercise, swimming, or saunas for 24–48 hours after treatment to allow optimal absorption.
- Do not scratch, rub, or pick at the scalp, even if it feels itchy or tingly. This is a normal response to the stimulation.
- Resume your normal haircare routine after 48 hours unless otherwise directed by your provider.
- Avoid harsh chemical hair treatments (dyeing, perming, bleaching) for at least 5–7 days post-treatment.
- Stay consistent.
- TED treatments are most effective when done as a series (usually 3 monthly sessions), followed by maintenance.
