Annette began her career in 1991 as a regular stylist, but found her passion after attending her first DevaCurl class in 2008. After training with Lorraine Massey (owner and founder of DevaCurl and The Curly Girl Method) along with Dennis DeSilva (also a founder of DevaCurl), she soon became a master curly hair specialist. She opened her own salon with her focus exclusively on curly hair.
Annette soon realized there needed to be a safe and understanding place for curly hair clients to come and be heard and have their curls thrive.
Annette is now the creator of her own method called The Forma Cut™ which allows all curls to live and connect in a shape that best compliments your hair. She sees curly hair clients from around the world.

Joining Posh Curls in 2021 Annette and Joanne were reunited after first working together in 1991. They are still committed to serving their clientele, the curly hair community.

Lacy Bransky
Hi, I’m Lacy Bransky, and I’m here to make your curly hair dreams come true! As a licensed cosmetologist, I specialize in dry curly hair cuts and am currently apprenticing and training at Posh Curls to perfect my craft. I graduated from cosmetology school in 2025, but my journey with curly hair started much earlier. During the pandemic, I discovered my own hair’s curly transformation, and I fell head over heels for curls! It was then that I knew I wanted to help others embrace and love their natural texture.
My passion is all about teaching you how to work with your curls, not against them. Whether you’re looking for a new curly cut or tips on managing your curls, I’m here to make your hair routine as easy and fabulous as possible.
When I’m not transforming curls at the salon, I’m flying high as an aerialist! I’ve been practicing aerial silks for 9 years, and I began performing in 2024. The best part about aerial silks? The thrill of self-control in the air and the excitement of those fun drops. It’s all about balance and confidence, something I bring into my work as a stylist, too!

Israel joined the Posh Curls fam in October 2023 and helps make sure every visit is a great one. With curls of his own, he brings creativity and curl know-how to the salon. Born and raised in Humboldt Park, Chicago, this proud Boricua is all about interior design, good music, and keeping his plants happy. He’s into collecting crystals, spinning vinyl, and finding his zen through meditation. Israel loves connecting with clients and friends of Posh, and he's always down to learn more about curls and self-care.
