FAQ's

Do I need prior experience to attend?

Yes. This training is designed for licensed aestheticians or cosmetologist who have at least six months of hands-on lash experience. This is not a beginner lash class, it is an advanced certification intended for artists who want to further their education, set themselves apart in the industry, and invest in healthier, safer ingredients for both themselves and their clients.

Is LED UV safe?

Yes, when used correctly. Our education covers LED UV technology, lamp anatomy, safety protocols, and proper application to ensure informed, responsible use.

Do I Receive a Certificate?

Certificates of completion are awarded based on demonstrated understanding, safe application and readiness to apply the techniques responsibly and alignment with Lash Apothecary and Self Care Studios education standards.

To receive a certificate, students must successfully complete:

  1. A knowledge assessment on the final day

  1. A live model practical demonstrating the bio, comfort method, proper technique, safety, and application.

Certifications are not automatically issued if additional support or refinement is needed.

If a student requires further guidance, individualized mentorship opportunities may be recommended to ensure confidence, competency, and long-term success before certification is granted. You deserve to succeed!

What Should I Bring to Class?

Students should bring:

  1. Their favorite tweezers

(Think of your tweezers as your second set of hands, bring the ones you know and trust!)

  1. Magnifying glasses or loupes, if typically used
  2. A water bottle
  3. A light jacket or layer for comfort
  4. A notebook and pen for personal notes (optional)

All core materials supplies and hands-on tools will be provided unless otherwise noted.

To support a relax and focus learning environment, water, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Dietary sensitivities can be accommodated with advanced notice at the time of booking.

Do I need to bring a model?

No, you are not required to bring a model.

Day one includes a live educator demonstration on a model, which student will observe while learning technique, safety and application. Students will then practice using eyelid model pads provided in their student kit.

Day two consists of a live model practical which will be provided for each student and a knowledge assessment.

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your seat at the time of booking with the remaining balance due on the day of class. Due to a limited seating and preparation involved, deposits are nonrefundable and applied toward your total.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Cancellations made within seven days of the scheduled class date require full payment of the class fee. Due to limited seating and advanced preparation refunds are not available. Students may choose to transfer their enrollment to a future class date, subject to availability, in lieu of forfeiting payment. Transfers are permitted one time only. In rare and extenuating circumstances exceptions may be considered at the educators discretion.

Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

By enrolling in class, students acknowledge and agree to the stated policies, including certification standards, cancellation terms, and payment structure. Education services, deposit, and class fees are non-refundable

Chargebacks or payment to be submitted without first contacting Self Care Studios to address concerns may result in revocation of certification, denial of future education opportunities, and submission of documentation to the payment provider to contest the dispute.

Our goal is always resolution through communication.

Questions and Concerns After Class

Our classes at Self Care Studios are conducted in a 1:1 setting, allowing for private, individualized instruction and feedback throughout the training. This structure ensures that questions, concerns, and skill development are addressed in real time directly with the educator. This is a safe space there are never silly questions!

If additional support is needed after class, continued guidance, clarification, or recommended mentorship opportunities may be offered to support confidence, competency, and long-term success.
