Shasta has over 22 years of experience teaching Pilates. She has spent this time creating personalized sessions to promote strength, pain-free movement, and longevity. Shasta has continued her education across multiple modalities, including earning her Clinical Diploma to enhance her skills in injury prevention and recovery, using an evidence-based approach.

WHAT IS PILATES
The Pilates method was developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles, enhance flexibility and improve posture. Integrated movement of the whole body is accomplished by using a series of controlled exercises to engage the mind with the body. Focusing on the quality of each exercise will lead to stronger back and abdominal muscles, balanced muscle development, improvement of coordination and reduction of stress. Strength is built without stress on the joints and your greater range of motion will help eliminate strain and tension from the joints also preventing future injuries.
