Pre Procedure
If you are having a lip procedure and are prone to cold sores or fever blisters, you need to take an antiviral medication prescribed by your doctor for 4 consecutive days prior to procedure.
No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior to procedure. No blood thinners the day of (Aspirin, ibprophen, fish oil, omega-3 fatty acids). Discontinue Anti aging and acne creams a week before for successful color retention.
Aftercare
After your procedure you can ice as needed for swelling. Use only aquaphor ointment regularly for 7 days. You can resume to your usual skincare after 7 days. Do not wash the treated area with harsh soap until healed. Do not pick off the flakey skin or scabs. Take an ibprophen if swelling occurred. As the area heals, the pigment may become blotchy, disappear, or weird colored. That will subside and the even tone will return.
