OUR STORY

The dream of Taylord Barbershop didn’t start in a fancy studio. It began in 2014 on the coattails of a college football dropout's stuffy 3 bedroom apartment packed with 7 roommates in Olympia, WA. Taylor was wrapping up his time with a church internship, knee-deep in an existential crisis, when he found a home in the rusty old clippers that his mom used on him growing up in the ’90s.

What started as a way to kickback with the homies turned into an full-fledged obsession. After moving to Rancho Cucamonga, CA, with no clients and no clue, Taylor started cutting hair for the only people who would say yes... the homeless. Every Friday, for 6 months straight, he hit the streets with his beat-up clippers, learning through trial, error, and humility.

Eventually, life led him to Phoenix, AZ. Inspired by the barber's chair where he’d once found conversation, confidence, and connection, Taylor began an apprenticeship under Jaime Lenstrohm at The Dapper Devil, all while studying at All American Barber Academy.

Cutting his teeth with the best in the business, the desire grew to strip away the noise and build a home for those to share their war stories and was officially launched in the winter of 2023.

What began as quest for meaning grew into a craft built on community, grit and purpose. In the words of the late Bob Ross: "we don't make mistakes, we make happy little accidents." That is our story.
