If you are looking to start a career in the nail industry, but are uninterested in the traditional schooling approach, apprenticing at the Tea Garden may be the route for you!

We provide our apprentices with the tools and education necessary to help you achieve your professional goals. You will learn and work in a salon environment, with a flexible schedule, while building your clientele, and getting paid to do it.

As an apprentice at the Tea Garden, you will receive hands-on individualized instruction, while working side-by-side with Licensed Nail Technicians and eventually independently.

Our goal is to provide our nail technician apprentices with the knowledge and resources to not only work at the Tea Garden, but to be successful in the beauty industry.

We ensure your success with 1 on 1 training that is focused on enhancing your skills and empowering you to be successful.

We believe in providing our artists an environment that promotes growth in technique and business topics such as; customer retention, sales, massage techniques, reflexology, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy as well as gel nail polish application.

Product education will be with AVEDA, OPI and Biosculpture Evo Gel Polish.

Requirements

● Register and complete the Beauty Council of BC Beauty Safe Level 1 course, General Practices *FREE online course

● Register and complete the Beauty Council of BC Beauty Safe Level 2 course: Nail Technology *$30 online course

● Must be eager to learn and willing to receive feedback and grow a clientele

● Must have reliable transportation

● Must be 17 years or older.

● Must be able to work three days a week including Saturdays and one evening a week.

● Sign a non-competition clause valid for one year after the start date.

● All apprentices are required to follow all salon policies and protocols.

● No prior knowledge or experience is required as we provide full instruction on the aspects of the beauty industry and skills necessary to becoming a manicure and pedicure nail technician.

● All supplies necessary for the completion of the program curriculum will be provided to you.

● Wage will be minimum wage plus gratuities.

● Please note the required duration of the program is 100 hours. While we do offer flexible schedules, vacations & personal time may be limited and will require authorization prior to start date.
