Meet the Founders

The Visionary: Melanie Cowling

In 1996, Melanie Cowling established the first medical spa in historic St. Augustine. Her journey was built on twenty years of rigorous clinical precision as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Working alongside Endodontic Specialist Dr. David W. Cowling in their family dental practice, Melanie mastered the nuances of facial anatomy and sterile environments long before "medspas" were a household name. As a Master Medical Aesthetician, Electrologist, and Cosmetic Tattoo Artist, Melanie’s expertise is deeply personal; her own battle with cystic acne fueled a lifelong mission to master the science of true skin healing.

The Evolution: Haley Cowling

Haley represents the evolution of the About Face legacy, bringing a unique understanding of the body and its functions from the inside out. Following her early experience as a Dental Assistant in the family practice, Haley dedicated herself to mastering the body’s interconnected systems. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Full Specialist, Electrologist, and Laser Technician, Haley looks beyond the surface to understand how internal health dictates external beauty. Her expertise as a MPS Therapy Specialist complements her work as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Pilates Apparatus Instructor, a combination that allows her to treat the body as a high-functioning whole. Having navigated her own struggle with cystic acne and scars, Haley pairs this technical versatility with a profound empathy for her clients. Today, she leads the storefront operations, merging thirty years of family tradition with a modern, holistic approach to medical aesthetics.

Allergies & Product Safety

Some products contain sulfur, strawberry, and aspirin ingredients. If you have specific allergies, please read each individual product label carefully. Check individual product descriptions for any known allergens prior to use.

* We strongly recommend performing a test patch to ensure there is no skin reaction.

* Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes immediately with clean water.

* Products are created for external use only.

* Discontinue use if irritation develops. If conditions persist, consult a physician.

* Keep out of the reach of children.

Pregnancy Warning

If you are pregnant or nursing, consult with a physician or healthcare professional before using products or receiving medical aesthetic services. Juvawell LLC is designed to be pregnancy friendly with your Doctors Note of approval. Our Massages are pregnancy friendly after 12 weeks with your Doctors Note of approval.

Shipping, Returns, & Exchanges

* Shipping: Shipping is currently only available within the United States. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

* Returns: Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we cannot offer an exchange or refund. To be eligible, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in the original wrapped packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

* Exchanges: We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon receipt. If you need to exchange a defective product for the same item, please email us at haley@aboutface.guru.

* Sale Items: Only regular-priced items may be refunded; sale items are final sale.

* Return Address: Mail your return or exchange to: 105 Mariner Health Way, Suite #203, St. Augustine, FL 32086 (You are responsible for paying your own return shipping costs. We recommend using a traceable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items).

This website and booking portal are operated by About Face Aesthetics. Throughout the site, "we", "us", and "our" refer to About Face Aesthetics. By visiting our website, scheduling a service, or purchasing products online, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Our client management portal, appointment booking system, and online store are hosted on software provided by Vagaro Inc. They provide the secure digital infrastructure allowing us to offer our aesthetic treatments, client scheduling, and product catalog to you.

General & Booking Conditions (Sections 1–4)

By agreeing to these terms, you confirm you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence. You may not use our services or products for any unauthorized or illegal purpose. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Prices for services and products are subject to change without notice.

Services & Account Accuracy (Sections 5–6)

We reserve the right to limit quantities of products or services offered and to adjust treatment details as required for clinical safety. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing, contact, and medical profile information for all bookings and purchases made through our Vagaro portal.

Third-Party Services & Software (Sections 7–8)

Our website may link to third-party tools or applications integrated into our booking workflow. Access is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for harm or damages related to third-party software, tools, or websites.
