Beauty has always been about more than appearance to me- its about confidence.
Before becoming a permanent makeup artist, I served in the U.S. Army as a medic and later spent many years working in healthcare. During that time, I had the privilege of caring for patients from all walks of life, including many elderly women who shared stories about their youth, their confidence, and how much they missed feeling like themselves. Those conversations stayed with me.
They reminded me that confidence isn't something reserved for any age-it's something every woman deserves to feel.
My husband and I eventually opened our first tanning salon with the goal of helping people look and feel their best. We loved the atmosphere we created, but I knew I wanted to offer something more lasting. I was searching for a specialty that combined artistry, precision, and the ability to truly implact someone's confidence.
That's when I discovered permanent makeup.
At the time, it wasn't common in Middle Georgia, and the learning curve was steep. I invested countless hours into education, traveled for advanced training, and practiced relentlessly to master the craft. What started with microblading quickly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
I became the first licensed permanent makeup artist in Middle Georgia, and as demant continued to grow, we expanded and opened The Babe Cave. I later earned my esthetics & cosmetic laser licenses so I could continue helping clients through advanced skincare and beauty services along side permanent makeup.
Today, more than a decade in permanent makeup, and over 12 years as a business owner, my passion has grown beyond serving clients alone. I now train the next generation of PMU artists, sharing not only technique, but also real world knowledge and lessons I wish had been taught to me when I first started.
Whether you're visiting me for your first set of brows, lip blush, skincare, or professional training, my goal is the same as it's always been-help you leave feeling more confident than when you walked in.
"It's never too late to become what you might have been."
For more than two decades, these words have been the compass that has guided every major decision in my life. I have carried these words with me since I was 21, and they've shaped every chapter of my life. They've reminded me that growth has no age limit, confidence can be rediscovered, and it's never too late to pursue a new dream.
Whether you're sitting in my chair for permanent makeup, investing in your skin, or learning to become a PMU Artist yourself, I hope you leave believing the same thing: it's never too late to become the person you've always wanted to be.
