How to Brush your Lash Extensions:

Materials Needed:

  1. Clean, dry spoolie brush
  2. Clean, dry lashes

Steps:

  1. Begin with clean, dry lashes: Make sure your eyelashes are clean and completely dry before brushing. Wet lashes are more susceptible to damage and may not respond well to brushing.
  2. Position the spoolie brush: Hold the spoolie brush close to the base of your lash line, leaving about a 2mm gap between the brush and your eyelid. This will prevent the brush and from getting caught in the base of the extension and pulling on it.
  3. Brush from above: Gently roll the spoolie brush downwards towards the tips of your lashes. Repeat this motion a few times to ensure you've combed through the entire lash line.
  4. Brush from below: Hold the spoolie brush underneath your lash line, similar to how you would apply mascara. Use the same gentle rolling motion to brush upwards towards the tips of your lashes
  5. Repeat as Needed: Continue brushing your lashes using upward and downward motion until they are detangled and properly aligned. Be gentle and patient throughout the process to avoid damaging your lash extensions

Importance of Brushing:

  1. Keeps lashes aligned: Brushing helps keep your lash extensions aligned and looking neat. Unbrushed lashes can become tangled, twisted, or grow in different directions, leading to an unruly and messy appearance.
  2. Maintains Shape and Style: Routine brushing preserves the shape and style of your lash extensions, ensuring they consistently enhance your natural beauty.
  3. Prevents Buildup: Regular brushing prevents buildup of dust, dirt, and makeup residue which can weigh down your lashes, affect the adhesive bond, and lead to infections.

Consequences of Not Brushing:

  1. Increased Fallouts: Neglecting to brush your lash extensions can cause increased fall outs, resulting in a thinner patchy appearance.
  2. Premature Loss: Poor brushing habits can weaken the adhesive bond, leading to premature lash loss and more frequent touch-up appointments.
  3. Unattractive Appearance: Clumped, tangled, and unruly lashes can create an unattractive appearance, defeating the purpose of investing in lash extensions to enhance your natural beauty.

  2. Apply cleanser: Dispense a small amount of lash-safe cleanser onto your clean fingertips or a soft makeup brush.
