How long should my hair be for waxing?
Hair needs to be a 1/4 inch long, or a minimum of 2-4 weeks of growth.
When should I exfoliate?
Exfoliation is super important when it comes to waxing. You should be exfoliating at least 2-3 times a week. Before your wax appointment you should exfoliate 24 hours before to ensure that all the dead skin is removed and to get a much cleaner wax!
Can I get waxed on my period?
You absolutely can! although being on your period can make your skin more sensitive is is 100% doable. we ask that you wear a fresh and clean tampon and leave the rest up to us.
Can I get waxed if I'm pregnant?
Yes! when it comes to pregnancy the skin changes due to hormones and may cause extra sensitivity, but make sure to get cleared by your doctor first and if you have any questions.
How to come prepared
Wear loose fitted clothing to ensure that the skin isn't being irritated by the tight clothes, you may also take OTC pain relievers 30/ 1 hour before the appointment. Also exfoliate 24 hours before!
What to expect after?
Avoid tight clothes, no sex for the next 24/48 hours after. You also want to avoid saunas, sun exposure, hot tubs, pools, strenuous exercises. Anything that is going to cause friction to the area or excessive sweating. Gently exfoliate 3/4 days after and make sure you are moisturizing the area daily!
How long does it last?
Results may typically last anywhere from 4-6 weeks. When starting your waxing journey it is important to note that your hair grows on different cycles and may take up to 4/5 waxes for all your hair to be on the same cycle. Your first wax up to 80% of hair to be removed!
