EMShape Neo FAQ

What is Electrical Muscle Stimulation?

Electrical muscle stimulation is a non‑invasive technology that uses focused electromagnetic pulses to activate muscle fibers at an intensity impossible to achieve voluntarily. These pulses create rapid, powerful contractions that help strengthen, tone, and define targeted muscle groups.

How does is work?

The device delivers focused electromagnetic pulses that trigger rapid, supramaximal muscle contractions. During each session, the muscles contract thousands of times—far beyond what the body can voluntarily perform—leading to increased strength, improved tone, and enhanced definition over time.

What does it feel like?

Most clients describe the sensation as strong, rhythmic muscle contractions. It is not typically painful, but it is intense. Others have described it as "a fluttering" to no sensation at all. The device cycles through different contraction patterns to keep the experience comfortable and effective.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients benefit from a series of 4–6 sessions, spaced over 2–3 weeks. Your treatment plan may vary based on your goals, muscle conditioning, and the area being treated. Results continue to improve for several weeks after your final session.

Do you sell single sessions?

EMShape works through progressive, cumulative muscle stimulation, meaning each session builds on the last. A single treatment can help you feel muscle engagement, but it does not create meaningful or lasting change on its own.

Packages ensure you receive the full, clinically effective series needed for real strength, tone, and visible improvement. This approach protects your investment, supports predictable results, and allows us to design a treatment plan that actually delivers what EMShape is meant to do.

My BMI is over 30 will EMShape still benefit my needs?

EMS builds and strengthens muscle, so it can benefit clients at any BMI. The key difference is how visible the results appear on the surface. The real takeaway is, EMS is not limited by BMI—it’s limited by expectations. Everyone can get stronger. Not everyone will see the same level of visible sculpting until fat thickness decreases.

• BMI under ~30 Clients typically see both strength gains and visible definition more quickly because there’s less subcutaneous fat covering the muscle.

• BMI 30–40 Clients still gain strength, stability, and functional tone, but visible sculpting may be softer until body composition shifts. This range is still very appropriate for EMShape—especially for core support, glute activation, and improving movement patterns.

• BMI 40+ EMS can still activate and strengthen muscle, but results may be primarily functional, not aesthetic.

It’s often most effective when paired with a broader body‑composition plan that may include lifestyle changes or adding other modalities such as ultrasonic cavitation.

Why is EMShape more accessible in price compared to competitors?

At Wellness Studio 360, we’ve chosen a system that delivers powerful, consistent results without the inflated cost often associated with large corporate brands.

Pricing reflects the business model of the manufacturer, not the strength of the treatment. Some companies invest heavily in national advertising and brand licensing, which raises the cost for both providers and clients.

Our chosen device delivers the same category of high‑intensity muscle activation without the added brand‑name markup. This allows us to offer a premium, effective treatment at a more accessible price point—while maintaining the elevated experience you expect from Wellness Studio 360.
