Philosophy

“More than a lifestyle change, it’s a mindset shift. Integrating body, mind, and spirit to boost energy, balance, mobility, and overall fitness for a healthier, more integrated life.”

What is Pilates?

Developed by Joseph Pilates after World War I and brought to the U.S. in 1923, Pilates enhances muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, posture, and balance while reducing joint pain. It involves small, controlled movements that engage core and back stabilizing muscles, with an emphasis on breath control. Pilates can be practiced on a mat or specialized equipment, which uses springs, levers, and body weight for resistance. It benefits both those seeking a challenging workout and individuals with conditions like arthritis, joint injuries, or back pain.

What is Somatic Movement?

Somatic Movement focuses on internal body sensations and awareness rather than external appearance. This practice aims to reduce stress, improve posture, and relax muscle tension by exploring and understanding internal sensations. It helps uncover and correct muscle tension patterns controlled by the nervous system, leading to reduced muscle tension and improved alignment.
