Meet Jenny | Owner & Hairstylist

Jenny is the owner of Grand Salon Suites and founder of Modern Hair by Jenny. With more than 17 years of experience, she loves helping clients find a look that suits their hair, lifestyle, and personality. She specializes in customized hair color, precision haircuts, and hair extensions.

A licensed cosmetologist and graduate of Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Jenny also has a background in microblading and massage therapy. She studied at the Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy and practiced massage until 2018, when she decided to focus fully on her hair business.

At Grand Salon Suites, Jenny has created a comfortable, welcoming space where clients can enjoy beauty and wellness services and independent professionals can grow their own businesses.

Jenny is always learning and finding new ways to help her clients feel confident about their hair. Hair coloring and cutting are a big part of her work, from refreshing roots and blending gray to creating highlights, rich color, and precision cuts. She enjoys customizing each service to suit her client’s hair, personal style, and everyday routine.

She also offers hair extensions to add length and volume and is expanding her training to support clients experiencing thinning hair and hair loss. This includes mesh integration and meshless integration—customized methods that blend added hair with a client’s existing hair for a fuller-looking style. Mesh integration uses a lightweight mesh foundation to support the added hair, while meshless methods work without that foundation. The best approach depends on the client’s existing hair, the areas needing coverage, and their goals.

Jenny takes time to explain the options, maintenance, and at-home care so clients understand what’s involved. Whether someone wants a fresh color, a flattering haircut, longer hair, or added fullness, her goal is to create a natural-looking result and help them feel comfortable, supported, and confident.

Her father’s advice has stayed with her throughout her career: “If you love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” Jenny truly loves her work, and the relationships she’s built with her clients are one of her favorite parts.
