01

Before

When you sit in my chair, I start the service with a thorough consultation to find out your needs, budget, goals, inspiration and more. After the consult, I will start the process.

02

Application

For any highlight service, I typically begin with foils in the back of your head, then move up to the top and finish on the sides. Placement depends on your needs aligned with your goals and budget. If the service calls for lowlights or a root retouch, I will apply your color after foiling.

03

Checking Level +Pulling Foils

While processing, I always check the foils to make sure the integrity of the hair is in tact. I never leave lightener on the hair for over 45 min. If you need a lighter color, I will book you another session.

Raw Tones

I always strive to let the raw tones of the blonde speak for itself. If past hair history is limiting to the service, ie. box dyes and red tones, previously lightened hair, etc. I will zone tone. Zone toning is using different toners for sections of the raw levels that are not even, intended to create an even canvas.

Toner Formulation, Root Smudge + Application

The best way to describe a toner is like using a filter when editing photos. Toners have the ability to change the color of the highlights, but they cannot make a level lighter. Formulation depends on the goals and inspiration discussed during the consultation, along with matching skin tone. If we are wanting a more grown out look, root smudge will be added. If you're looking to be very bright as you walk out the door, I typically won't add a root smudge. Sometimes I won't even tone the hair when the goal is to be as bright as possible, and I'll let my blonding abilities speak for itself.

06

Trim or Cut

A trim or cut is always included in the price of your color. My personal belief is that a color is not fully finished without at least a small dusting of your ends. I like to focus on hair health, and opening and closing your cuticle many times in one service can be very tiring for your hair. A trim, in my opinion, is always a necessary step.

07

Blow Dry + Texturize

The blow dry is always included in your service and unless you specifically ask not to be blow dried, you will receive a blow dry. I always apply products that match your texture needs and is specific to your hair style desired. I will section the hair, and scissor the product into those sections before blow drying with the upmost tension as to eliminate the most frizz possible and make the hair as smooth as glass. After your blow dry, I like to texturize the haircut to create a style that is easy to maintain while keeping volume in the crown, making the face framing light and piecey and weight in the back where you need it the most.

Style +Take Home Education

During the entirety of the appointment, I prefer to educate my clients on the process. I am very comfortable with letting you know why my process is the way it is, what I'm doing, what your hair is looking like, if it's going our way or not, and how to maintain your color and style at home. I will be showing you the products used during the blow dry and style, letting you smell and feel each product as it goes into your hair. Afterward, if there is a product you simply cannot live without, it will be bagged up for you to take home. Some services such as extensions or brazillian blow outs, will be required purchase of retail at the end of service.
