WHAT TO EXPECT

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS LIP BLUSH MICROPIGMENTATION?

Lip Blush Tattoo serves as an excellent substitute for fillers or surgery, or it can complement these procedures. To enhance the effectiveness of lip enhancement treatments, many of our clients opt for both.

This dual approach allows individuals to achieve their desired lip volume and color, tailor-made to their personal preferences.

The process of achieving the perfect lip blush typically requires two sessions. The initial session lays down the foundation of color, while the second session, usually a few weeks later, allows for adjustments to ensure the desired results.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET PMU SERVICES?

You must be 18 years or older.

WHAT IF I AM PREGNANT OR NURSING?

You cannot get a tattoo if you are pregnant or nursing, as a safety measure, we do not offer cosmetic tattooing services to pregnant or nursing women.

HOW LONG DOES LIP BLUSH LAST?

Cosmetic tattooing is a revolutionary beauty technique. The vibrancy of the color can last up to 3 years, but this is subject to how each unique skin type retains pigments and breaks them down over time. Individual experiences may differ, which is why a tailored

approach is essential for achieving the best outcomes.

Understanding the process is key. Initially, two appointments are scheduled about 8 to 12 weeks apart. This spacing is crucial as it allows your skin ample time to heal and fully absorb the pigment.

*It's worth noting that achieving the desired lip color is a journey rather than a one-time service.*

The first session lays the groundwork. Perfection is often reached after the second visit. During this follow-up, I will evaluate how your skin has reacted to the pigment and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the color pops just as you envisioned.

Healing varies from person to person. It's normal if the cosmetic tattoo doesn't heal perfectly on the first attempt. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare can and will influence the result.

IS THE TATTOO PAINFUL?

The permanent lip enhancement procedure is sensitive, but numbing agents are used for comfort before and throughout the session. Following pre-care instructions is crucial to limit bleeding and sensitivity during the procedure. Avoiding the procedure during menstruation is recommended to reduce discomfort.

HOW WILL MY LIPS LOOK IMMEDIATELY AFTER?

Your lips will look slightly larger than normal and appear as though you may have had a slight lip filler injection. The degree of this varies from person to person. For most clients, the swelling occurs within a few hours. However, the lip colour will look quite dark, like lipstick. You need to know that the size of your lips will shrink back to normal and the colour will significantly fade up to 50% within the first four days. You will lose colour on the inside of your lips first, the edges last. Right after the procedure, lips normally feel dry, chapped, tight, and tender to the touch. Lips will feel better with each passing day.

CAN I DO IT IF I HAVE FILLER?

We do not perform permanent lip enhancement on lips that have had lip filler injections within the past 6 months.

This is because the lip filler and the permanent lip tint would occupy the same area within your lips. If the filler has already occupied a significant portion of the space, there won't be enough room for the permanent lip tint, resulting in unsatisfactory outcomes.

*It is advised to opt for permanent lip blushing first, allowing the lips to heal before considering lip filler injections.*

WHAT ABOUT LONG TERM CARE AND TOUCH UPS?

Touch-up appointments are not mandatory. However, if you choose not to maintain, the color will gradually fade. The extent of fading is influenced by factors such as your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, pigment color used, broken capillaries, and iron deficiencies. For consistently vibrant lips, we recommend scheduling a touch-up once a year to ensure optimal results.
