Frequently Asked Question's?

How long should my hair be?

For the best results, hair should be approximately ¼ inch long, or about the length of a grain of rice. If you shave, try to allow approximately 2–3 weeks of growth before your appointment.

Does waxing hurt?

Everyone’s sensitivity is different. You may experience brief discomfort, particularly during your first few appointments, but consistent waxing can make the process feel easier as your hair growth becomes finer over time.

Can I shave between appointments?

We strongly recommend that you don’t! Shaving interrupts the waxing cycle and can affect your results. Staying consistent with waxing allows us to work toward smoother, longer-lasting results.

How often should I get waxed?

Most clients schedule their waxing appointments approximately every 4–6 weeks, depending on the area being waxed and their individual hair-growth cycle.

Can I get waxed while on my period?

Yes. You can still receive many waxing services while menstruating. For intimate waxing, please arrive wearing a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. Keep in mind that some clients may experience increased sensitivity during this time.

Can I get waxed while pregnant?

In many cases, yes. Pregnancy can make the skin more sensitive, so please let your esthetician know that you are pregnant before your service.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Comfort is key. Loose-fitting, breathable clothing is especially recommended for body and intimate waxing appointments to minimize friction afterward.

When can I exfoliate after my wax?

Wait approximately 48 hours before exfoliating freshly waxed skin. After that, gentle and consistent exfoliation can help reduce buildup and prevent ingrown hairs.

Why do I still see a few hairs after my first wax?

Hair grows in different cycles, so not every hair will necessarily be at the same stage during your appointment. Consistent waxing every 4–6 weeks helps get the hair-growth cycles on a more consistent schedule.

What medications or skincare products should I tell my esthetician about?

Please disclose prescription acne medications, retinoids, retinol, exfoliating acids, recent chemical peels, laser treatments, or other products/treatments that may make your skin more sensitive. Certain products may require us to modify or postpone a waxing service for your safety.

What if I have ingrown hairs?

Ingrown hairs are common and manageable. Consistent gentle exfoliation, proper moisturizing, avoiding picking, and using recommended aftercare products can help. Your esthetician can also recommend a routine based on your skin.

I'm nervous about my first Brazilian. Is that normal?

Absolutely. There is no judgment here. We’ll explain the process, answer your questions, and prioritize your comfort throughout your appointment. Our goal is for you to leave wondering why you were ever nervous in the first place.
