BONE STRONG: 12-Week Bone Health Program

Your doctor said do weight-bearing exercise. Nobody programmed it. We do.

BONE STRONG is a coached bone health program at the National Sports Medicine Institute in Lansdowne, Virginia. It starts with your DEXA numbers and turns them into a specific, supervised training plan for stronger bones, better balance, and lower fall risk.

The problem we solve

Most people with low bone density get the same advice: walk more, take calcium, be careful. That advice has no dose, no progression, and no way to prove it is working. Bone responds to load that is specific, progressive, and heavy enough to matter, and that kind of training should be coached and measured, not guessed at.

Step 1: The Bone Health Assessment - $199

Everything starts with measurement, at our Lansdowne location:

  1. DEXA scan for body composition and bone density
  2. Movement screen (FMS)
  3. Force plate balance testing
  4. A one-page Bone Health Baseline built from your numbers

The parts are worth $259 if booked separately. The assessment takes about 90 minutes and tells us exactly where you stand before any training begins.

Step 2: The 12 Week Program - $649/month

  1. 2 coached sessions a week, built around progressive loading for your bones (remote option also available)
  2. Balance and stability work to cut fall risk
  3. Nutrition guidance that supports bone and muscle
  4. 15% off testing and recovery services while you are enrolled
  5. Everyone starts with 12 weeks and can continue with another block if they choose.

An honest timeline

Bone changes slowly, and we will not pretend otherwise. At the end of each 12 weeks we retest your strength, balance, and movement, and those numbers should move. Your follow-up DEXA comes at 8 to 12 months, because that is how long bone change takes to show on a scan. Be wary of any program that promises a bone density jump in 12 weeks.

Who this is for

  1. Adults 45 and over with osteopenia or osteoporosis
  2. Anyone with clear risk factors: a parent who fractured a hip, a previous low-trauma fracture, long-term steroid use, or a big drop on a past DEXA
  3. People who are cleared for resistance exercise.

If you have had a recent fracture, spinal instability, or a condition that affects balance, talk with us before booking.
