Not a Candidate Right Now

  1. Under 18 yrs of age
  2. Pregnant or nursing
  3. Currently taking Accutane (within past year)
  4. Experiencing an active cold sore (lip blush only)
  5. Sick or have a fever
  6. Have an active skin infection, rash, or irritation in the treatment area.
  7. Recently had botox (within 2 weeks, or fillers (within 6 weeks) in the treatment area.
  8. Sunburned in the treatment area.

Medical Conditions Requiring Approval

  1. Diabetes
  2. Autoimmune Disorders
  3. Blood clotting disorders
  4. Heart Conditions
  5. History of Keloid scarring
  6. Cancer treatment within the past year
  7. Epilepsy
  8. Any condition requiring physician clearance.


Please disclose all medical conditions and medications during your consultation so we can determine the safest treatment plan and set appropriate expectations for healing and retention.

Medications

Some medications can increase bleeding, slow healing, or affect pigment retention. They don't necessarily prevent treatment, but they may require adjustments to your appointment or additional touch ups.


  1. Blood thinners (including any anticoagulant & antiplatelet medications)
  2. Steroids
  3. Antibiotics
  4. Retinol or Retin-A near the treatment area.
  5. Certain acne medications (including Accutane)
  6. Immunosuppressant medications
  7. Thyroid Medications (may affect healing and pigment retention)
  8. Certain SSRI's, anxiety medications, or photosensitizing medications
