Microblading

Procedure

1. Topical anesthetic is applied for 10-30 minutes followed by additional gel anesthetic.

2. Brows will be groomed and shaped.

3. A special makeup pencil is used to draw on individual strokes one by one

4. After client has approved the shape, micro-blading is then performed by manually depositing pigment in the basal layer of the epidermis by a special pen.

5. Cosmetic PMU ink is then applied and left on for 10 minutes to absorb into the skin.

6. A thin layer of Bacitracin ointment is then applied.

7. Aftercare instructions will be given.

Post-Care

NO rubbing or picking. The treated area might feel a little ticklish during the first phase of recovery process, it is important not to rub it, as you may get a skin infection. Peeling is absolutely normal during second phase of healing; avoid any sort of peeling of dry skin as you might peel out the wrong parts and create bald spots in newly reconstructed brow. IMPORTANT: Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It may appear as though the tattooed area has completely disappeared. Within 1-2 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.

• Keep your hair away from your face. This means avoid putting your fringe over brows for at least 7 days as this could cause infection.

• No sun beds, tanning, excessive sweating in the gym, no makeup or anti-aging creams on the brow area for at least 10 days. Its is best to allow the brow to heal first before using any of the above.

• Entire healing process will take from 4 to 6 weeks depending on your body's regeneration, age, immune system and lifestyle. Sometimes after PMU micro-blading customers develop dry, flaky skin. It is very important not to rub, pick or peel off your flakes or scabs. Itching is absolutely normal as skin is repairing itself. Never rub the treated area as it will disturb the skin from natural healing process. If you get your brow wet at the beginning of recovery, simply dry it with lint free tissue. The way you take care of your new brow after PMU micro-blading will have great impact on the way it looks. Improper care often results in fading or patchy brows.

• Note that because of the natural skin regeneration, after recovery period brows might appear lighter than original. Often, even with proper care, customers develop bald spots or loose original hair strokes which makes brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal because your natural skin regeneration is not a process that a technician can control. That is why most customers need a touch up after 1 month to assure that brows are perfectly even and desired effect was achieved.

• Colors may appear darker immediately following the procedure. Pigments usually scab after 3 to 5 days. Do not pick, rub, or cleanse the are with soap or cleanser for one week. Allow scabbing to flake off naturally. As healing progresses, colors will soften to its true color. We recommend lightly rinsing your face and showering with low pressure water.

• Apply a small dosage of antibiotic cream or Neosporin twice a day on the eyebrows. (If allergic to antibiotic cream, use Vaseline or Petroleum U.S.P).

• If necessary, an appointment for a retouch can be scheduled at least 4 to 6 weeks after the initial procedure.

• Do not soak treated area in hot tub or swimming pool for ten days.

WARNING: Chlorine, excessive sweating, exfoliation creams and exposure to the sun will cause color to fade. Failure to follow post-procedure instructions may cause loss of pigment, discoloration, or infection.

Post-Treatment Care

30 MINUTES AFTER THE PROCEDURE:

Rinse the eyebrows with neutral soap (children's soap). Remove all the lymph and previously applied cream by doing so. After that apply a very thin layer of ointment. Repeat this procedure 3 to 5 times during the day. If the treatment was done late in the afternoon and you do not have time to do it 3 to 5 times, put Saniderm over the eyebrows you previously applied the cream on, so that you protect the eyebrows from drying and wiping overnight.

IN THE NEXT 14 DAYS:

Maintain facial hygiene and apply the cream after washing your face or having a shower. Skin Candy can be used on all skin types, due to its natural active components that regulate oiling.

WHAT TO BE AVOIDED:

During the first 14 days all the creams (except for the protective one), all make-up(foundation) in the eyebrow area. Avoid workouts that involve a lot of sweating, sauna, facial massage and streaming - inhalation. Avoid gardening and animal contact.

IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS AVOID:

Sunbathing, solarium, light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors.

Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area (fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.

Use of antibiotics and hormonal treatment therapy can lead to a faster pigment fading. Always protect the eyebrows form the sun with SPF.
