For Massage Therapy services it is advised to wait at least 24 hrs before doing any strenuous activities to prevent further injury & sickness. Light exercises such as walking, stretching or easy paced swimming is okay. For skin services it is advised to wait at least 2-3 hours or 24 hours at best before working out to allow your skin to recover and the products to settle in.
We offer a variety of services, including massages, facials, body treatments and lash lifts/tints.. We also provide special packages and wellness treatments.
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete any necessary paperwork, relax, and enjoy our spa amenities.
Drinking water after a massage or facial is important because it helps to flush out toxins and metabolic waste that may have been released during the treatment. Both massages and facials promote circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system, which can release stored waste products from the body.
Hydrating after the treatment aids in the elimination of these toxins through the kidneys and urine, preventing dehydration and supporting the body's natural detoxification process. Additionally, water helps to maintain skin hydration and promote overall health.
For most skin services, you'll be provided with a robe.
For lash services it is advised to wear your glasses instead of your contacts if you are prescribed. During massages or body treatments, you will be draped with a towel and/or sheet for privacy, and your therapist will leave the room to allow you to get comfortable.
As a sole practitioner, I am unable to offer couples massage services. Each session is reserved for one client at a time to ensure that I can provide the best individualized care and attention to your specific needs.
It is absolutely okay to fall asleep during your massage or skincare service-it is one of the biggest compliments I can receive! Your session is designed for you to relax, decompress, and take time for yourself. If you find that you are drifting off, please feel free to do so.
I prefer quiet sessions to help you fully benefit from the therapeutic effects of your treatment.
However, if I need you to adjust your position during a massage or make changes to the pressure, I will inform you as needed. For the most part, the session will be peaceful and quiet to enhance your relaxation.
If you choose to engage in conversation, I am more than happy to chat with you. My goal is for you to have the most enjoyable and restorative experience, so whatever helps you feel comfortable, I support.
Silicone cupping is a modern variation of the traditional cupping therapy, which is an ancient healing practice that originated in Chinese medicine. In silicone cupping, flexible silicone cups are used instead of the traditional glass or bamboo cups. These cups create a vacuum or suction on the skin, which helps to stimulate blood circulation, promote relaxation, and aid in the release of muscle tension.
A dermaplane facial is a popular skincare treatment that involves using a sterile surgical scalpel to exfoliate the skin by removing dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (often referred to as “peach fuzz”). This process helps reveal smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin.
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses a specialized device to gently exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells and promoting the growth of new, healthier skin. It is a popular treatment for improving the texture, tone, and appearance of the skin.
The frequency with which you should book a massage or skincare treatment depends on various factors, including your personal goals, skin type, and lifestyle. Here are some general guidelines to help you determine how often to schedule these services:
Massage Treatments:
1. For Relaxation and Stress Relief:
• Frequency: Once a month
• Reason: Regular massages can help reduce stress, improve relaxation, and alleviate muscle tension. Once a month is ideal for maintaining overall well-being and reducing tension without overwhelming your body.
2. For Pain Relief or Chronic Issues:
• Frequency: Once a week to once every two weeks (for more intense issues)
• Reason: If you have specific concerns such as chronic muscle pain, back issues, or injury recovery, more frequent treatments (weekly or bi-weekly) can help address these problems and promote faster healing. Your massage therapist can guide you on the optimal frequency based on your condition.
3. For Muscle Maintenance (Athletes or Active Lifestyles):
• Frequency: Every 2-4 weeks
• Reason: If you’re highly active, regular massages can help with muscle recovery, reduce the risk of injury, and maintain flexibility. Depending on the intensity of your activity, bi-weekly or monthly massages can keep your muscles in good condition.
Skincare Treatments:
1. For General Skincare Maintenance:
• Frequency: Once a month
• Reason: Regular facials (monthly) can help maintain skin health by providing deep cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration. A monthly facial is ideal for keeping your skin refreshed, glowing, and in good condition.
2. For Specific Skin Concerns (e.g., Acne, Pigmentation, Aging):
• Frequency: Every 2-4 weeks
• Reason: For more targeted treatments, such as acne facials, anti-aging treatments, or pigmentation correction, you may need more frequent visits initially to see results. Treatments every 2-4 weeks allow your skin to respond to the treatment and provide noticeable improvements.
3. For Special Events or Occasions (Quick Fixes):
• Frequency: 1-2 times before a big event
• Reason: If you want your skin to look its best for an event, a professional facial can help with brightening, hydration, and smoothing the skin. Scheduling a facial a few days before an event ensures you’ll have a glowing complexion.
Other Factors to Consider:
• Skin Type and Needs: If you have sensitive or reactive skin, you may need to space out treatments more. Conversely, if you have oily or acne-prone skin, more frequent treatments may help manage those conditions.
• Seasonal Adjustments: Your skin’s needs can change with the seasons. For example, during winter, when the air is drier, you may want more hydrating facials, while in the summer, treatments targeting sun damage or oil control might be more beneficial.
• Budget and Lifestyle: It’s important to balance your desired treatments with your budget and available time. While monthly treatments are a great goal for most, even quarterly treatments can offer significant benefits, especially if you’re on a budget.
Conclusion:
• Massages: Once a month is typically good for relaxation and stress relief. For chronic pain or muscle recovery, more frequent sessions (every 1-2 weeks) may be needed.
• Skincare Treatments: Monthly facials are ideal for maintenance, while bi-weekly or monthly treatments are great for addressing specific concerns like acne or aging.
Ultimately, it’s important to listen to your body and skin. You can adjust the frequency based on how you feel, your skin’s condition, and your goals. Consulting with a professional massage therapist or esthetician can help you create a personalized treatment plan.
