Where Competition and Horsemanship Meet
Often Performance and Horsemanship are separate goals in the horse industry. At MHN Performance Horsemanship we believe you need both to succeed.
Performance
Horse showing is our Passion here at MHNPH. This is what keeps us motivated and excited for the future with our horses. We compete in Ranch Horse Shows which include events such as Reining, Rail, Trail, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Riding, and more! In our performance program, we emphasize practices that help our horses become more consistent in and out of the arena. This takes more time, but building anything worthwhile will!
Horsemanship
Our students are taught to look at horses in both mental and mechanical perspectives. One does not operate without the other. To reach any goal with horses successfully our horsemanship must be correct FIRST. This includes how we lead them, lunge them, ride them, feed them, and so on.
Longevity
It does little good to have laid a good foundation with good Horsemanship, and reached the level of Performance to have our horses last only a few short years in the show pen. MHN Performance Horsemanship emphasizes instruction and training practices that will help you help your horse stay performing for years to come. While we cannot guarantee longevity due to genetic and other factors, we promote practices that will help your horse last.
