Radiant Roots Skin Studio was created as a soft place to land— a quiet, intentional space designed for people who crave care that goes deeper than surface-level. From the moment you walk in, you’ll feel the difference: slower pace, softer lighting, cozy textures, and a sense of being truly seen. This isn’t a busy salon. It’s a one-on-one experience built for calm, connection, and real results.


Radiant Roots is more than skincare. It's a safe space for your nervous system to settle, your skin to be seen, and your spirit to be cared for. Every facial and waxing session is customized with your comfort and needs in mind—because healing looks different for everyone. I work with the full person, not just their skin.


I created this space to offer the kind of care I wish existed— gentle, non-judgmental, sensory-safe, and rooted in connection. Whether you're neurodivergent, highly sensitive, managing chronic stress, or just need a break from the noise, I see you.

My studio was curated with you in mind.

Hi, I’m Cynthia— licensed esthetician, wax specialist, and the neurodivergent soul behind

Radiant Roots Skin Studio.


I’ve been in this work since 2019, but care-taking is something that’s always lived in me. Going into Esthetics was a path I chose on a whim but it was the first path that felt aligned and I’ve been rooted in that choice ever since.


Born and raised in NC, I’ve spent the past 30 years in the Triangle and in Wilmington. I spent 5 years working in downtown Durham before recently settling in Rougemont and opening Radiant Roots.

I am now on a mission to grow a new kind of community— one built on connection, consent, and care that goes so much deeper than skin. This is more than a skin care and waxing studio to me, it is a safe place and a place to foster connections with one another.


At Radiant Roots, I offer more than services.

This is a space for grounding, gentle touch, clear communication, and honoring your full self.

I always have a listening ear to offer.


When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me walking our tree-lined driveway with my partner and our three pets, curled up with a blanket and a show doing legos, or in nature— hopefully near water (my element).

Crystals, art, puzzles, and all things witchy fill my cup.
