PRE & POST WAX CARE GUIDE

Aftercare is a shared part of your service experience and plays an important role in supporting your skin’s comfort, results, and long-term smoothness.

Feeling nervous or experiencing anxiety before waxing is completely normal.

This is a space where your comfort is prioritized, and I am here to support you throughout your experience in whatever way you need.

All waxing appointments are judgment-free, trauma-informed, and centered around consent, communication, and care.

✨ Before Your Wax

  1. Hair should be about ¼ inch long (around 2–3 weeks of growth) for best results.
  2. Please avoid sun exposure, tanning, or sunburned skin for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
  3. Try to avoid retinol, retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), or strong active skincare on the area for 3–5 days prior.
  4. If you’re able, gently exfoliating the night before your wax can help support smoother results (please avoid same-day exfoliation).
  5. Arrive with clean, product-free skin (no lotions, oils, deodorant, or body products on the area being waxed).
  6. Staying hydrated and moisturized consistently helps support the skin and hair removal process.

🌸 After Your Wax (24–48 Hours)

Your skin may be a little more sensitive as it settles, so gentle care is important during this time.

  1. Avoid heat such as hot showers, baths, saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs.
  2. Avoid sweating, intense workouts, friction, and tight clothing.
  3. Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds on freshly waxed skin.
  4. Avoid fragranced products, deodorants (if applicable), and strong skincare actives on the area.
  5. Hold off on exfoliating for 24–48 hours after your wax.

💕 A Gentle Reminder

It is completely normal to experience mild redness, sensitivity, or small bumps immediately after waxing.

Your skin is doing exactly what it’s meant to do as it adjusts.

Ingrown hairs or irritation can sometimes occur, especially if aftercare is not followed or if your skin is naturally prone to them — but regular waxing, gentle exfoliation between visits, and proper hydration can greatly improve your results over time.
