in the shower
- cool/warm water only (hot water fades fast)
- color-safe shampoo only (pH 4.5–5.5)
- use color depositing shampoo/conditioner (watercolors is my fav)
Styling
- always use heat protectant
- keep heat low (300–365°F max)
- less heat = longer lasting color
real life
- chlorine + salt water will strip your color
- before swimming: wet hair + lather conditioner through it
(don’t rinse)
- wash less to make your color last longer
