Myofascial Release

Are you tired of blaming your age for what is happening in your body?

Have you been so comfortable living with the discomfort that you have just deemed this your new normal? Would you love to say that your best years are ahead of you rather than behind you? This can be possible when we release the restrictions holding you back from full expression.

As a John Barnes trained MFR therapist I use light sustained pressure to help open up restrictions that have been holding your body captive and hindering full range of movement often leading to pain and discomfort.

If you’ve tried everything but you’re still in pain, I can help. My hands-on therapy gently releases the tension that causes pain, helping you feel looser, stronger, and more like yourself again.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is a specialized connective tissue system in the body that looks much like a spider’s web. It forms a continuous, three-dimensional network that runs from head to toe without interruption. Fascia surrounds, supports, and protects every muscle, bone, organ, nerve and blood vessel - holding everything in place and helping the body function as one integrated unit.

What is Myofascial Release?

John Barnes’ Myofascial Release (JFB-MFR) is a gentle, hands-on approach to treating restrictions within the fascial system. It is not a form of deep tissue massage, but rather a restorative and corrective form of bodywork that helps the body return to balance.

Benefits of Myofascial Release:

Myofascial Release can ease pain and tension, help you move more freely, and support better posture. Many people also feel a deep sense of relief (both physically and emotionally) after a session. This gentle hands-on therapy is especially helpful for those dealing with chronic pain or long-standing imbalances in the body caused by tight or restricted fascia.
